About Kumari

From a Sri Lankan kitchen to a little red truck.

Kumari grew up cooking the food of Ceylon — sharp sambols, fragrant rice & curry, kottu sizzling on a hot plate. Years later, she's still cooking it the same way: from scratch, every morning, in a tiny stainless steel kitchen on wheels.

Everything is made fresh on the day. The curries are deep and slow. The portions are honest. And if you ask nicely, she'll tell you which one is hottest.

"Come hungry. Bring cash. Leave happy."
